FuturArc Green Leadership Award 2013

The FuturArc Green Leadership Award (formerly known as the BCI Green Design Award) recognises the team behind a completed project: the developer, consultants and contractors who have collectively pushed the limits and definition of what a Green building is in Asia. The competition seeks to award teams that have demonstrated the best in innovation and environmental stewardship in architecture. The competition was held from September 2012 to 17 December 2012.

The projects must be located within Asia or Australia, and must have been completed before 31 December 2012. The jury looks for how materials, strategies, systems and technologies are integrated in an imaginative manner, resulting in a climate-responsive, usercentric architecture that is both functional and a delight to the senses.

There are five competition categories for the entries:
• Residential Architecture – Individual Houses
• Residential Architecture – Multiple Houses
• Commercial Architecture
• Institutional Architecture
• Interior Architecture

Specially designed FuturArc Green Leadership Award trophies will be given out to the winners at BCI Asia Awards ceremonies held across the region in May and June 2013.
