Judy Pranata, the principal architect of Yogyakarta-based JP Studio, ventured to construct Titik Tentram café with an adaptive approach to address environmental and contextual issues, particularly due to its rocky and arid hilltop location. These challenges were addressed without altering or replacing the natural contours of the land.

Titik Tentram is a captivating destination, offering a relaxing spot for visitors to enjoy a cup of coffee and engage in casual conversation. Among the most striking and attention-grabbing design elements of Titik Tentram is its use of COLORBOND® Matt Winter® that features a clean white colour in the building exterior. This choice creates a stark contrast with the surrounding landscape, becoming a key point of attraction that piques visitors’ curiosity and draws them in.

The clean white colour that dominates the walls and roof creates a fresh, bright and orderly appearance. It evokes feelings of cleanliness, simplicity and calmness, inviting visitors to step in and enjoy the serene atmosphere. In the context of Titik Tentram, the white hue perfectly complements the café’s peaceful atmosphere.

The selection of COLORBOND® Matt Winter® also offers significant practical benefits. Beyond its captivating appearance, the material is highly durable and weather-resistant, a crucial factor for a location like Titik Tentram’s, which may experience unpredictable weather conditions.

Moreover, the choice of white for the exterior serves a practical purpose in reducing heat absorption, helping maintain a comfortable temperature within the building. This ensures that visitors can enjoy their coffee comfortably in a cool interior, even under the hot sun.

The usage of COLORBOND® Matt Winter® roof creates a stand-out architectural masterpiece, allowing Titik Tentram to distinguish itself from nearby buildings. This decision results in a striking and inviting structure that showcases the beauty and comfort of simplicity. Titik Tentram has truly become a charming and tranquil spot for visitors.
