Highlights of FuturArc Blue-Green Run’s Cheering Day

14 DECEMBER 2023 – The inaugural FuturArc Blue-Green Run is well underway, having kickstarted on 16 November and ending on 31 December 2023!

Last week on Saturday 9 December, runners and built environment professionals gathered for our Cheering Day at DOCKYARD, Kerry Hotel. Participants celebrated the finishers of the Blue-Green Run and joined in our fundraiser. Thousands of dollars were donated to the beneficiary organization, Habitat for Humanity Hong Kong, which also delivered a presentation highlighting the urgent need to improve the living situation for elderly residents in Hong Kong.

GROHE supported the Cheering Day by providing sparkling water on-site using their water machine, and participants brought home premium showerheads from their Deluxe collection. Samsung bestowed a door prize of their Freestyle 2^nd Generation portable projector for a lucky attendee. Play Concept showcased their projects and presented the latest outdoor equipment to be in line with ESG principles. As the run’s corporate partner, Starch International Company generously contributed to the fundraiser and took part in the run.

FuturArc Blue-Green Run reflects BCI Central Hong Kong’s mission to foster sustainability and create a positive impact. The 10-kilometre route encompasses landmark check points that have been certified as Green buildings, including K11 MUSEA (HKGBC BEAM Plus Gold; LEED Gold) and Kai Tak Sports Park (HKGBC BEAM Plus Platinum; 3-star China Green Building Design Label; LEED Gold), as well as the seaside Hoi Sham Park with an array of flora and fauna that fosters biodiversity and enhances wellbeing. By participating, runners are demonstrating their commitment to sustainable mobility and reducing carbon emissions, actively supporting Hong Kong’s Carbon Neutrality 2050 target while making a meaningful difference in the community.

The run is still ongoing till 31 December 2023, and those who complete the run will be awarded an exclusive Finisher Pack containing:

• A handy drawstring bag
• A limited-edition medal, engraved with the event logo and date
• A high-quality towel that is soft and absorbent, with the event’s branding
• A stylish Compressport event tee, designed to keep runners comfortable and motivated during training sessions
