Vietnam Urban Green Growth Week 2015

Held from 4 to 5 November 2015, Vietnam Urban Green Growth Week 2015 was the main event from a series of activities to celebrate Vietnam Urban Day on 8 November. Its key objective was to support the implementation of urban Vietnam to develop Green growth.

The event sought to carry out tasks approved by the Prime Minister in the National Strategy on Green Growth1 and the National Action Plan for Green Growth2, while promoting, introducing and enhancing cooperation between potential partners in the construction and urban development fields to push for Green growth in the country.

It was co-sponsored and organised by the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Planning and Investment for the first time. Other organisers included Vietnam Urban Forum (VUF), Vietnam Union Urban Development Planning (VUPDA), the Association of Cities of Vietnam (ACVN), BCI Asia Vietnam Co Ltd and Vietnam Women’s Museum. Van Phu – Invest JSC was the gold sponsor; Viglacera Corporation, Carbon Cor Vietnam JSC and global Green Growth Institute were the silver sponsors. Journal of Construction Planning, Urban Planning, FuturArc and Ashui.com were the media partners.

There was an exhibition on urban Green growth involving urban development investors, planners, designers, companies with environmentally friendly materials and the typical domestic and international organisations working on the same field such as the Viet Hung Urban Investment and Development JSC (VIHAJICO); Sun Group Vietnam; Vietnam Institute of Urban-Rural Planning (VIUP); Rang Dong JSC; Vietnam Construction Consultants Corporation (VNCC); Focus – ASEAN holding; and members of Vietnam Urban Forum.
