By 2030, it is forecasted that Vietnam will have 100 gigawatt (GW) of additional capacity and a ten-fold increase in renewable energy generation. The government is targeting to increase installed solar capacity to 15 GW and wind capacity to 6 GW with an investment of US$143 billion into the sector. The recent introduction of a solar feed-in tariff of up to 9.35 US cents/kWh provides a boost to the solar industry, where large-scale solar projects are becoming a reality.

Now in its third year, the Future Energy Show Vietnam has established itself as the leading renewable event in Vietnam. The country is also scaling up its efforts to bring electricity to the population, whether on- or off-grid, and hopes that this event can accelerate adoption. The free-to-attend event will offer the following in 2020:

  • Four tracks of conference content covering solar and storage; wind; smart energy and grids
  • Over 40 speakers will share their insights and innovations
  • Over 150 exhibitors will showcase the latest renewable and smart energy solutions available across Asia
